📣Why I Speak Out
I stayed quiet for too long, hoping things would get better. But they never did. I watched my child’s health decline. I lost a pet to the mold. I begged for help and was ignored. That’s when I realized — silence only protects the people who are hurting us.
I speak out because someone has to.                                           Â
 📌  Real Things That Happened
“I begged the property manager to take it seriously. He laughed when I said our pets were dying.”
“We were forced to live in an apartment that doctors said was unfit for human health.”
⚠️ I Reached My Breaking Point
I tried to handle it privately. I was patient. I trusted the system. But nothing changed. Our voices were dismissed, and our lives were treated like we didn’t matter. Speaking out wasn’t a choice anymore — it became a responsibility.
🗣️ Speaking for Those Who Can’t
My 5-year-old son can’t speak for himself. He’s nonverbal and still developing. The mold was stunting his health, and I had to remove him from our home to keep him safe. Our pets couldn’t speak for themselves either — and they suffered too.
I’m speaking for every person and animal who can’t speak for themselves.
 🗣️This Is Bigger Than Me
This isn’t just about me or my family. This is about every tenant living in mold without help. About every child, every senior, every disabled person being ignored by a system that’s supposed to protect us.
    🗣️🚫I Won’t Be Silent Anymore
I speak out because silence allowed this to go on for too long. I speak out because people are getting sick, pets are dying, and the people responsible are walking away without consequences.
I speak out for truth, for justice, and for everyone still stuck in homes like mine paying full price and a tax paying citizen of Frederick County Maryland.
Greg, property manager for Noah’s Frederick Management Company (FMC), has continued to cover up this mold crisis rather than fix it. He has sent fake emails claiming licensed inspectors were coming — but on June 23, 2025, the only person who arrived was Julio, the regular maintenance man, and a teenage boy I had never seen before. Neither were licensed or certified.
Julio came with nothing but a can of spray paint to cover mold — not clean or remove it. This was not a solution. It was a cover-up.
Two days later, Greg sent me an email falsely stating that I had refused entry to the owner on June 23. That’s a bold-faced lie.
No owner ever showed up. This lie was clearly sent to make Greg look cooperative ahead of the code enforcement visit scheduled for June 27, 2025.
This wasn’t the first deception. On June 20, 2025, Greg and Julio entered my unit without permission, completely unannounced.
My young child was home alone at the time. He tried to ask what they were doing, but they ignored him. When I reviewed my indoor security footage, I saw Greg pointing at mold in the bedroom and pretending to perform mold cleanup in the HVAC system — without any protective gear, license, or certification.
🗣️  Text Box 4: Nothing Was Fixed
As of today, the mold remains. The leaking sink still hasn’t been repaired, and the HVAC is visibly infested with mold — and tested positive. There has been no actual cleanup, just paint and avoidance.
Greg continues to show up only when inspections are expected, and Ben, one of the property owners, has been completely absent.
I’ve asked repeatedly for:
A proper mold remediation plan
A relocation option
Reimbursement for the testing I paid for
A solution to stop this health crisis that’s been harming my family and pets
Instead, I get lies, unauthorized entries, and fake cleanups. Other tenants are experiencing the same neglect — mold, pests, health issues — and being ignored just like me.
'This wall was connected to my crib. Behind it, the mold was growing and spreading-while my child slept next to it every night.
This was the room where my baby slept-right next to a closet hiding a broken HVAC unit leaking mold behind the walls. The black mold started here, silently spreading while we had no idea what was poisoning.Â
Live sewage water sat hidden in this closet, just feet where my family slept. We had no idea-until the smell and sickness exposed what maintenance failed to fix AGAIN.
No one should have to sleep in a home where the walls are rotting from inside out.
The wall covered in mold above is the wall my son's toddler bed was against until i discovered it. After moving from the other building with unlivable conditions Noah's FMC moved our family more dangerous living conditions mold and infection of PEST.
We lived with this for years. The landlord said it was just 'a little moisture.'
Theses are the medications I had to reply on just to breathe in my own home. Mold made me sick-and no one was held accountable.
"This is what was hidden behind the walls. The air we were breathing was poisoning us while the outside looked fine."
